Cobourg Teams Dominate Scratch Scramble

October 10th saw the club host our annual 4 man Scratch Scramble. 18 teams of the area's top CPGA Professionals and ametuers competed on what turned out to be a fantastic October day. Coming out on top was the team of Milner, Lafontaine, Ryan and Casselton of the Dalewood Golf Club in Cobourg with a fine score of 16 under par 55. In second place all alone were another team from Dalewood, Markle, Herljac, Pemberton and Kane with a score of 15 under 56. Host Profesional Paul Vaillancourt along with Dan McNeely, Roy Leach and Nicolas Vaillancourt were tied with defending champs McGee, Koski, Tapp and Minkhorst and the team from Brockville CC consisting of Saunders, Healey, Watts and Edmunds. The three tied for third with scores of 14 under 57.

Skins were all sawed off so the money went into a ramdom draw which saw the team from Camelot come away with three hundred dollars.

A special thanks to all the scorers who volenteered to score for the teams. The course was in fabulous shape considering all the moisture it received in the days leading up to the tournament date. Course Superintendant Ken Campbell and his staff should commended for providing a course that was raved about by all participants. Also thanks to the members, Board of Directors and club house staff for letting this event go on by giving up the course on a long weekend.

October 17th, Paul is holding the final day for all participants who took on the Pro Shop staff in the Beat the Pro compitition this year. Times are posted in the pro shop so feel free to call and get your starting time if you played the pro shop staff this year. All who played, whether winner, loser or dormied are welcome.
